IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
The local and regional leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints asked we do not hold the Cedar Rapids Community Nativity Celebration this year. We understand this is disappointing news to those who have participated, performed, and attended the Cedar Rapids Nativity over the years. However, we are very excited and pleased to announce the members are focusing our efforts around Thanksgiving and Christmas time to support a larger initiative by the church in our area:
The Light The World Giving Machines
The machines will include opportunities to donate to a number of international and local charities that the Church has relationships with, and will be a great way to build new relationships in our community. There will also be volunteer opportunities, as well as performances and events scheduled at the Coral Ridge mall throughout the three weeks that the machines will be stationed there, between Nov. 20 and Dec. 9.
More information about the events surrounding the Giving Machines will be released over the next several months.
